Ankle Pump and Rotation – ACL Surgery Exercise Video

The easiest exercise that the physio gave me to complete over the first couple of weeks is ankle rotation, pumps and flexes. The purpose of the exercise is to get the blod moving in the lower leg. Swelling will move down from the knee to the lower leg and the idea is that the ankle pump and rotations will move that swelling out of the leg.

Laying back with your legs elevated pump the ankle back and forth 20 times followed by rotating the ankle 20 times.
